Rules version demo-2026-10
Draft: a lawyer is still reviewing this text. The version you accept when registering applies.
01General
- The organiser is ZENTRA (Impressum). The competition is free: no entry fee, nothing to buy.
- The game is Counter-Strike 2, 5v5, MR12 (first to 13 rounds), MR3 overtime, on ZENTRA servers in Europe.
- All times are Vienna time (Europe/Vienna). The site also shows everyone their own local time.
- The rules exist in Serbian and English with the same content.
02Teams and roster
- The captain of an existing ZENTRA team registers it.
- A roster has 5 to 7 players (captain, players and subs) and at most 1 coach. The coach does not play and does not join the server.
- A player can be on the roster of only one team per season.
- Until registration closes (Wed, 30/09/2026, 23:59) the roster can change freely. After that, 2 additions in total are allowed until the roster lock (Tue, 06/10/2026, 23:59).
- After the lock: at most 1 emergency sub per team, approved by an admin with a reason.
- An approved roster never drops below 5 players. The captain cannot leave the roster.
03Who may play
Requirements are checked at registration, at the roster lock and at every check-in. On the registration page every player sees the exact reason and what to do about it.
- Account: first sign-in finished, no active ZENTRA suspension.
- At least 5 completed ZENTRA matches by the roster lock (only a warning at registration).
- No VAC or game ban on Steam in the last 2 years.
- A Steam account older than 0 days, when the profile is public.
- ZENTRA Guard is connected; at check-in it must be running and pass every required check (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot…).
- At least 16 years old. Players under 18 play, and a parent or guardian receives their prize.
- The account country is in Europe. A lineup of 5 may have at most 1 player from another country.
04Registration and accepting the rules
- The captain picks the team and the roster and sees the eligibility check for every player.
- The captain accepts these rules and sends the registration.
- Every player on the roster gets a notification and accepts the rules personally (and confirms being 16+). The acceptance is stored with the time and the rules version.
- An admin approves the registration only once every requirement is met and every player has accepted the rules. A rejected registration comes with a reason and can be fixed while registration is open.
Registration is open from Fri, 25/09/2026, 12:00 to Wed, 30/09/2026, 23:59. At least 8 and at most 64 teams.
05Format
- Regular season: Swiss system, 5 rounds, Bo1 (6 rounds with more than 32 teams). In round 1 seed 1 plays seed n/2+1; after that teams with the same record meet, never twice. With an odd number of teams one team gets a bye (a win without a match).
- Seed: the average ELO of the team's best five players.
- Playoffs: the top 4 of the table (With 8–11 teams the top 4 make the playoffs.), single elimination, Bo3, bracket 1–8, 4–5, 2–7, 3–6. The semi-final losers play a 3rd-place match (Bo3).
- Too few teams: without 8 approved teams at the close, registration is extended once by 14 days; if there are still too few, a one-evening cup is played with the same prizes.
Standings
The order is decided by: 1. wins, 2. Buchholz (the sum of the current wins of every opponent), 3. head-to-head (only when exactly two teams are tied), 4. round difference (a forfeit counts 13:0), 5. rounds won, 6. the better seed.
06Schedule and rescheduling
- Round 1: Fri, 02/10/2026, 20:00. The playoffs start Sat, 17/10/2026, 17:00, the final is Wed, 28/10/2026, 19:30.
- A captain may propose a new time at least 24 h before the original one, within the same week (Mon–Sun, Vienna time). The other captain has to accept. Playoff times are fixed.
07Maps and veto
- Maps in play: Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Ancient, Anubis, Dust2, Train. The pool is frozen for the whole season.
- Bo1: A ban, B ban, A ban, B ban, A ban, B ban, the remaining map is played; a knife round decides sides.
- Bo3: A ban, B ban, A pick (B picks the side), B pick (A picks the side), A ban, B ban, decider (knife round).
- Team A is the better-ranked team (the better seed in round 1). Every action has 30 s; when it runs out, the system picks at random.
08The match
- Check-in opens 30 min before the match and closes 10 min before the start. The captain picks a lineup of 5 from the roster; all of them must pass the check at that moment.
- Players join the server within 15 min of the start. A team with 4 players may play 4 on 5 with an admin's approval; an admin may grant 5 more minutes once per team.
- The match starts by itself when everyone is on the server (no .ready).
- Pauses: tactical and technical pauses as the server allows; abuse earns a warning.
- A disconnect before the first kill of round 1 restarts the map. Later the team plays on and the player may rejoin.
09Forfeits and disqualification
- A team that misses check-in loses by forfeit (Bo1 13:0, Bo3 2:0) and gets a strike. If neither team checks in, both lose.
- 2 strikes in the regular season mean disqualification. Earlier results stand.
- A team that withdraws after the season started forfeits every remaining match.
10Disputes
- A captain may open a dispute on the match page until 2 h after the match ends (cheating, rules breach, technical issue, wrong result).
- An admin decides within 48 h, in the playoffs before the team's next match. The decision has a reason both teams can read.
- Possible outcomes: dismissed, warning, map or match replay, forfeit, player suspension, team disqualification. The head admin is the final instance.
11Fair play and ZENTRA Guard
- ZENTRA Guard runs from check-in until the end of the match. No Guard, no check-in.
- Confirmed cheating: a permanent ban for the player, the team is disqualified, all its results become 0:13 forfeits for the opponents, the prize is forfeited (and returned if already paid), and the places below move up.
- Sharing an account or playing on someone else's account counts as cheating.
- Streaming your own POV only with a delay of at least 2 minutes.
- Coaches in S1 do not communicate during rounds, only during timeouts.
12Prizes
The prize pool is €0: . Who receives a prize, deadlines, identity checks and taxes: Prizes and payout terms.
13Changes to the rules
These rules are version demo-2026-10. Fixes of typos are published without a new version. A material change gets a new version that every player accepts again; it never changes matches already played.
